Containerly
Located a drive away from San Francisco, this startup hopes to attract young like-minded individuals to colive and cowork in converted 50ft shipping containers. The silicon valley commune will function as a membership with options to rent out your container. With a commitment to reinvesting 100% of profits for the first 5 years in regenerative farming, carbon neutrality and water management it would become completely off-grid. The offer comes with a communal kitchens, community gardens, coworking and activity spaces as well as a shared pool.
ReGen Villages
Dubbed the Tesla of ecovillages, this startup is betting on technology to create resilient and integrated neighbourhoods around the world.
Adopting permaculture principles such as: energy positive homes, door-step high-yield organic food production, mixed renewable energy and storage, water and waste recycling, and empowerment of local communities. Each village would host 100 families in 50 acres, and is accepting patrons to support the funding needed for research and the development of the bio-regenerative neighbourhoods.
ReGen is currently building its pilot village north of Amsterdam in Almere, with the hopes to expand into Sweden, Norway and Denmark in the close future.
