Biodiversity has declined 68% in less than 50 years. Thousands of species are threatened with extinction.

The reason? All human induced: habitat loss, overexploitation, and the climate crisis.

It’s time to realize that the current crisis is one of identity loss as well. Biodiversity loss, extinction, habitat destruction: these are all sufferings that we must acknowledge as our own. Biodiversity is human, habitats are human, the environment is human. Without understanding that the whole human existence functions in symbiosis with our planet, we fail to fulfill our role, to live for the source of our existence instead of against it.

How can biodiversity loss be addressed?

  1. Eco-tourism and conservation

  2. Rewilding

  3. WildAid: Publicity Campaigns

  4. Carbon credits
