Planting with Benki Piyãko at Worlingham Hall

Suggested Donation: 1.000,00 £

Refund Policy: All donations are final

With great joy we invite you to Worlingham Hall in Suffolk for a cultural exchange focused on planting and land stewardship with Benki Piyãko and his family. This planting experience offers a space to connect with the millennial Ashaninka wisdom, an unbroken indigenous lineage that originates in the Peruvian Amazon.

This wisdom holds important messages for our evolving individual and collective relationship with nature, and with great relevance in this time of environmental challenges. Benki and his family generously share their wisdom in support of the global community for nature protection and regeneration, to strengthen this network through cultural exchange and shared prayer. We are very grateful to receive Benki at Worlingham Hall, offering this precious exchange between worldviews, and the opportunity to further foster our own connection with local flora and fauna and the land itself.

Our shared experience

We will learn about the Ashaninka’s relationship with nature by accompanying Benki walking and connecting with the land. We will plant local trees, native species that preserve the original biodiversity. The cultural exchange will involve food, music, art, storytelling and collective prayer.

Worlingham Hall

Worlingham Hall is a remarkable Georgian country house dating back to the 16th century. The Marzotto family has lovingly stewarded this property since 2009, overseeing 180 acres of pristine woodland with 500-year-old oak trees, a diverse array of birds, deers, and native fruit trees, which all contribute to a truly enchanting natural environment. Here, we will have three meals a day, with local and Italian recipes.

Your donation includes:

– 6 home-cooked meals;
– 2 nights of accommodation;
– and 2 traditional Ashaninka prayers.
