Tea plantations cover the hills of northern Vietnam’s Yen Bai Province. Since 2016 3,182 tea farmers in the region have been trained in sustainable practices by the UN environment agency.

These new practices are earning Vietnam a better reputation in the tea industry as their sustainable standards produce higher quality tea leaves, improve soil quality and increase their yield. This is making their product easier to sell around the world, raising the average income by 30%.
